CREATIVE VISUALISATION

Creative visualisation is imagining yourself or your voices in a safe place, or revisiting a memory that brings a sense of safety or calm. Some people can find it helpful to build up a picture slowly over time, thinking about what this safe place looks like, smells like or feels like. For others, it can be useful to imagine a halo or shield protecting them from their voices.

I have a place I go to in my head, it’s safe and comfortable and no one can get to me there. It’s taken me a long time to create it, brick by brick, but now I can access it pretty quickly when I need to.
