Reminding yourself of your good qualities, the things you have achieved in life, and the way you’ve coped with difficult situations or voices in the past can often help when you’re feeling overwhelmed. It can be a difficult thing to do on your own, though, so it might be useful to enlist a supportive friend or family member to identify these things with you.
